Brisbane’s best Easter treats of 2026
These cafes and bakeries are going all out with Easter-fied drinks and desserts, from creative hot cross buns to chocolate-topped lattes and more.
It’s a wonderful time of the year for sweet tooths with Easter right around the corner. Everything from traditional hot cross buns to Easter-inspired drinks are on offer at these Brisbane spots. Here’s what caught our eye in 2026.
Fonzie Abbott
What’s better than an iced latte? One topped with mini chocolate eggs, of course.
Fonzie Abbott’s Albion, Newstead and Lutwyche outlets are serving this Easter special complete with a vanilla cold foam – a riff on the orange-infused milk-cream foam of a Mont Blanc coffee, which originated in Melbourne in 2022 (the trend has well and truly arrived in Brisbane, as you’ll see below). They’ve also added a hot cross bun cold brew for the holiday season, which includes a hot cross bun for dipping.
Darvella Patisserie
This popular Bulimba bakery has brought back its Kinder Bueno-filled hot cross buns alongside traditional, choc chip and Kit Kat variations.
Restaurant reviews, news and the hottest openings served to your inbox.
Sign upFair warning: these are peak indulgence, but go ahead if you’re an avid sugar-seeker. For the full experience, pair with a Kinder Bueno iced chocolate or cookie butter latte.
Pippa’s Pantry
This vegan Camp Hill bakery has expanded its menu to include a range of Easter treats such as pastel-iced cupcakes, cookies and hot cross buns.
In line with its new plant-based drinks, Pippa’s Pantry is also serving a mini egg white chocolate cold foam to add to matcha or coffee.
’Feind
Wholesale Brisbane coffee roaster ’Feind is serving a spiced hot cross bun latte at it’s public-facing Spring Hill cafe. The latte, part of a new signature range, combines cinnamon flavours with a cold foam.
Danny’s Bread
Teneriffe bakery Danny’s Bread is offering an elevated take on the classic fruit and chocolate hot cross bun.
Find them at Harris Farm’s West End and Clayfield locations if you can’t make it down to Teneriffe.
Jocelyn’s Provisions
Everything from Easter cookies to hot cross buns are available at Jocelyn’s Albion, Camp Hill, James Street and Toowong locations.
The cookies, along with packs of shortbread bunnies and rocky road, are perfect for gifting and guests, but grab a traditional or chocolate hot cross bun for a solo treat afterwards.
Veganyumm
This vegan Everton Park spot is serving a range of filled hot cross buns, with on-trend flavours including Biscoff, pistachio and Nutella.
Easter cupcakes and rocky road are available to order also.
Mello Grounds
Cleveland coffee shop Mello Grounds has added a bunch of Easter drink specials to its regular menu.
This spot is serving creative and elevated flavours, from a carrot cake iced latte or matcha, complete with a cinnamon cream cheese cold foam, to a Cadbury top deck latte.
